The Journey of Self-Discovery

Almost three weeks ago I completed a 10-week course focused on Life Story Writing at my local library. This was a daunting task. I struggle with writers block, what to say next, and I did NOT feel comfortable writing about myself. Every Tuesday we were given a new topic to write about. The topics covered ranged from how I see myself as a woman, what my life goals are, have I achieved the goals I set for myself as a kid, my family history, how I relate to money, and more.

Each week I entered the classroom feeling a sense of anticipation which often resulted in sweaty palms and a racing heartbeat. Having to share my life with others put knots in my stomach. At the same time, I was excited to learn and connect with people within my community.

The toughest topic was how money impacted me. I had no idea that money played such an integral role in my life in both positive and negative ways.

Attending the class has taken me down this sometime scary but enlightening road of self-discovery.

Each week as I started to write for the following class, I thought to myself, this is impossible. Why am I putting myself through this?

Why do YOU think I took this class?

For you.

I want to share my challenges, triumphs, accomplishments, and all that I have experienced with YOU. Most of all, I desire to glorify my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I look forward to embarking this journey and discovering more about myself and the Lord.

Please comment below and tell me what you would like to learn about me!
